3 Days Lake Bunyonyi Safari

Wake up early and prepare to have fun all day long. You will enjoy the sound of birds all over the place in the Morning. The lake is home to several bird species like the beautiful egrets, hawks, African harrier, weaver birds, herons etc. Your Guide will take you to visit the Batwa and the Abahesi community of black smiths.

Spend time with them and learn about how they make a living. After this, you will be taken back to your hotel for lunch and then proceed to go canoeing/ boat ride to get better views of the Lake, surrounding areas, terraces and the rolling terraces.

Most of the Islands on this lake are named after the dominant bird species there. While at the Islands, you will interact with the people, visit some of the schools and health facilities. Retire to your lodge for relaxation, dinner & Overnight.

After breakfast, you will go for Nature walks to enjoy the beautiful scenery / landscapes as you wait to begin the journey back to Kampala. The lake Bunyonyi area is green throughout the year with beautiful trees and vegetation that are all worth exploring. You will then embark on your journey back to Kampala and stopover in Mbarara town for lunch at Igongo cultural Centre, have another stopover at the Equator. Expect to reach Kampala /Entebbe late evening and be dropped at your hotel or Airport for your flight back home.
