Lake Bunyonyi is located in South western Uganda between the districts if Kisoro and Kabale. It lies 1902 km above sea level and has 6 Islands. Lake Bunyonyi is thought to be the second deepest lake in Africa.

The name Bunyonyi [Place of little birds] in the local language comes from the fact that the area is home to over 200 bird species. The lake is free from Bilharzia, crocodiles& hippos.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
