Our 3-day Gorilla trekking safari will take you to the misty Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park that’s home to more than half the worlds population of 1004 remaining Mountain Gorillas. It also offers a birding experience and a scenic view of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by a wide variety of Primates.

The Bwindi trekking is the most enchanting experience in this Forest that will leave you with lots of memories.  You will also visit the Batwa people – these used to live in the Forest before it was gazetted as a National Park and be mesmerized by the stories of how they used to live in the Forest as hunters, gatherers, herbalists and warriors.

Tour Plan

Our guide will pick you up very early in the morning from Entebbe after you have had breakfast and embark on your 8–9-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

In case you aren’t comfortable with the long countryside drive and prefer to take a quick flight from Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip to help you preserve your energy for the trekking experience, kindly contact us to make that itinerary for you.

While on the drive, you will have a stop over at the Equator line and have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos.

You will make another stop over at Agip motel in Mbarara town for lunch and continue your journey arriving in the evening.

Dinner and over night at the lodge of your booking.

Meal plan – Lunch and Dinner.

You will wake up very early and have breakfast then be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing at 7:30 am about the rules of gorilla tracking.

After the briefing, you will set off for gorilla trekking experience in the thick forest that’s lively with rich forest sounds. The trek usually takes 2-8 hours and have one hour to stay with the gorillas once you site them.  In the afternoon you can opt for a community visit to the indigenous people the Batwa who used to live in this Forest before it was gazetted as a National Park.

You will have dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Meal plan: Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.

You will have early morning breakfast and hit the road again to travel to Kampala with a stop over for lunch along the way. Arrive in Kampala late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight back home.

    It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
